Cool Jackson Parade

We decided to go to Jackson for the pre-Memorial Day parade. The forecast was for cold temperatures, with a chance of rain (like usual). The weather turned better than expected, and we had a nice time.

Our ever changing family. Here we have staked out our territory on the curb.

I guess we do occasionally need a pic of yours truly, but this view sort of emphasizes my belly, which is not the most flattering..

Big Jack eventually shed the hat and the coat once it warmed up.

No normal photos of Sam this time. But you can see his new Dipety Do hairstyle.

Pete showing his front teeth.

Adam doing him one better.

The little guys grubbing for candy. I guess it would have been funny to get a picture of Sam and Pete fighting for candy too, but I didn't.

Jack was so cute that the locals tended to come over and hand him candy directly, rather than throw it his way.

Laura flashing us a smile too.

At some point, three Japanese men showed up and parked in front of our spot of curb, and started sucking up all the thrown candy, leaving none for the kids, so they had to get out from behind them.

The feeling of scarcity caused by the tourists led to less cordial relatinos between Jack and Adam.

Chris was there again as Smokey!

Candy in our pockets, and headed off to Jenny Lake.

Turns out the trail to the lake was full of snow, so the kids wimped out and didn't come with Mom and me, which means that I didn't have my camera for the short hike to the rock. (It was in Jack's backpack.)

Wish you all could have been with us.
