Busted

Jann was on a girlie trip skiing at Bridger Bowl in Montana, and was having all sorts of fun, until she got bit by a snow snake, and taken out. She cartwheeled for some time, then slid, then hit a snow fence right at the bottom of the lift where everyone could see. She broke the ball joint off the top of her humerus.

The ER doctor said to wait for a couple of days for the swelling to go down, and get an appointment with a bone guy. She can't really sleep lying flat, so she's sleeping in a recliner.

Here's her colorful arm on day 5. The orthopedic surgeon says she probably won't need surgery, so we're praying she won't. The ball is displaced about 5 mm from where it should be, but not enough to worry about unless it slips more.

Adam Gets Big

Adam was required to change a tire for his drivers' ed class. He had no idea how hard it would be, but he manned up and got 'er done. He was breathing hard at times though.
