Jann went to church Sunday, without her sling, because it is too annoying. The doctor said she could go without the sling as long as she doesn't rotate her forearm too far from her body, or try to lift her upper arm. Apparently some of our friends thought the lack of sling or cast meant that her arm wasn't that injured. So, here's one of the x-rays.
You can see the ball broken off the upper humerus, and displaced about 5 to 10
mm laterally. In addition, the doctor says, there are fractures in the ball itself. Ouch.
She's healing up slowly. It still hurts her, and she's pretty wiped out by the end of the day. But, she's able to sleep fairly well now. In Jack's bed, because ours is too high to get in and out of easily. Propped up with pillows under her head and knees.
