Spring Break

I had a week or so between semesters, so we headed west. We had excellent visits with the Ems, Brice and Andy, the Saras, and the Petes.

The O'Connor girls played cross-country croquet. Madelyn.

June.

Lily.

Eleanor.

June and Lily had some of their art displayed in town.

Pointing hers out.

June, trying to fly.

Andy looked and sounded happy.

Brice took us for rides in his homebuilt Juliette.

Mt. Rainier, over the clouds.

We went to Astoria with Sara.

Views over the town, ant to the river.

Pete and I got in a round of disc golf in his gorgeous Pier Park.

Pete at work. Looking for another job.

We saw Hazel's nice play, about baseball.

Then we went to see the tulips.

They had tons of very cool kites.

Mt. Hood in the background.

Annie trusting her dad.

Ezzy.

Hazel in the driver's seat.

And in the jumpin seat.

Hazel and Theo in shoes that are monstrously too big.

Hike at Ecola State Park.

The lighthouse.

Ezzy, taking it in.

And we finished up at the beach.

Candace was unfortunately sick for much of our visit.

Freezing their feet off.

Totally worth all the driving.

Ski Trip

Em and Rory wanted the girls to get some ski time, since everything blew up at Christmas, so they came back. We did the bunny hill.

Eleanor getting ready in the lodge.

Coming down the big stairs isn't easy with boots on.

Lily safely down.

Angel June.

Hoola hoops were employed.

And eventually a harness and leash, but for now, Rory just held on to Eleanor.

Lily.

Madelyn.

June, after a good day.

Christmess

Everyone was home for Christmas. Everyone got sick. I didn't get many photos because I had just had throat surgery, and then everyone abandoned ship and flew back to their homes.

Hopefully this will help me not apneate so severely.

Luke and two chairs.

Adam with the pooey head hat.

Hazel, before she injured herself crashing into the cat grave.

Ezra forgetting to wear gloves.

Annie enjoying herself.

Hazel went on a walk with me, out back...

... and helped make some card holders.

Pete looking happy.

Jann, giving an organ recital for family and friends.

Explaining all the features.

And then we took this photo, and everyone left.
