Three enthusiastic fans.
Sam and Nick lost their first match to the guys who would go on to win the whole enchilada. Here they are with the other doubles team, Joe Duque and Ryan Miles (with Coach Duque in there too).
Proper facial control while forehanding...
...and backhanding.
Better, maybe.
Proper butt stance while awaiting service.
Ian/Jack had just finished a small report about the Idaho state capitol, so we went by to see it firsthand.

The dome, with some small staircase going who knows where.

Coach and Mrs. Duque. This was during Joe and Ryan's semifinals, playing Timberline High School. The Timberline fans and the players were not nice folks. They kept telling us to be quiet and to do this, and do that, even though they were much louder and more obnoxious than we were. They ended up beating Joe and Ryan, but losing to Eagle (the guys that beat Sam and Nick) for the state title.
At one point, the official noticed Joe's knee bleeding (he scraped it trying to dig for a ball), and stopped the game, asking if anyone had a bandaid. Joe's mommy ran out on the court and babied her baby.
Afterwards, we drove to Twin Falls to play 18 holes of disc golf, and eat lunch, and visit Shoshone Falls. It was a bit low.
Driving back over the bridge to get home, we saw two BASE jumpers about to jump the bridge, so we hurried and parked, and ran down to the observation platform.
Get ready. He's just holding his chute, bundled up, in his hands.
He tossed it in the air, and jumped.
The risers come tight...
...and the chute begins to open.
Mostly open...
...but swinging wildly. Backwards here.
He finally got straightened out, and flew to the landing zone.
And came in for a nice touchdown. His buddy jumped a few seconds before he did.
The Sam and Ian picture in front of the capital building is like one of those creepy groom pictures.
