Portland

For Thanksgiving we made the drive to Portland. In Grandma and Grandpa's car. Jann was worried about our poor aging Suburban. It was a little tighter packing that the big 'burb, but we all made it.

Pete showed us his eLongboard. He's working for the company that makes them, and he's helping with the engineering. Hazel didn't get up to 32 mph, like Pete does commuting.

Jack felt a little wobbly he said.

Jann was awesome. See the puck in her hand, that has throttle and brake?

Sam showed us all how it's done.

I looked like a complete spaz.

Then we drove the hour north to Sara and Jake's. They have chickens.

And outbuildings. This is where we ate dinner.

Jack entertained Rose for hours.

It was a fine visit, and Ted was sad to see us go.

It was a very cool visit, and the Pacific Northwest is beautiful, even if it rains from November to March. We want to go again.
