After you get out of the drainage, you break out onto a long, open ridge. The wild flowers were nice.

There were still a couple of little spots of snow.
We had to bushwhack the last 400 ft of elevation, because there was no trail to the top. But it was worth it.

On the way down. We did not find Granpa's tree. He carved his name into an aspen when he was a teenager traveling with a sheep camp.
