The boys and I went to the quasi-annual Rexburg Air Show last week. It was a very fine thing, and we mostly enjoyed ourselves. Adam wanted to leave early, and I said tough beans.
My first air show at the Glenview Naval Air Station, Glenview, IL featured the Blue Angels in A-4 Skyhawks. So I was surprised to see one at the airport. Sans engine, turns out, but still very cool.

Danny Sorensen and his Sorensen BF9-2 "Unfinished Business." This was my favorite plane there. It was a gorgeous little biplane designed, built and flown by Sorensen, styled after the planes of the 1930s.

John Bagley, the guy who started the Legacy Flight Museum, flying his Mormon Mustang. Apparently this was the name of a real 51 flying in the European theater during the war. The guy got GA approval to name it that and everything.
One of only two flying P-63 King Cobras in the world. These planes were never flown in combat by US pilots, but the Russians loved them. Another Bagley acquisition.
